You may have recently seen my self-portrait of a breast; a reflection of my healing following the surgical removal of a mass. My own, complete with stitches, bruises, and slowly fading marker drawings made by the surgeon, was made to assist in my mental healing as my body healed. As I shared my story and my fears, so many of you reached out with similar stories of your own. Of removed lumps, of misdiagnoses, of battles with breast cancer. Of wins and losses.
Each of us have different stories, experiences, and results, but this week’s Sunday Square is dedicated to all of you.
